Intention to close Iberdrola Ireland electricity and gas supply business

Iberdrola Ireland has advised the Commission for Regulation of Utilities (CRU) of our intention to close our electricity and gas supply business in Ireland. This means that, from the 8th June 2022, we will no longer supply your gas and electricity.

You do not need to do anything and there will be no disruption to your energy supplies.

The CRU will automatically transfer you to its designated suppliers – Bord Gáis Energy for gas and Electric Ireland for electricity – on an agreed date, which has yet to be confirmed.

We will issue all customers with a final bill, which will include credit balances where appropriate. It will also include the €200 energy rebate if this has not yet been applied to your account.

We're committed to ensuring the transition is as seamless as possible and has a minimal impact on you. Further updates will be provided here as soon as they are available.
