Section 3 - How we use cookies

Different categories of cookies are used for different purposes on our sites. The main cookies we use are listed below and follow the four cookie categories proposed by the International Chamber of Commerce. Note, that some cookies could be listed under multiple categories, this is normal. For a detailed breakdown of cookies on this site please click here.

Category 1: strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are essential in order to enable you to move around the website and use its features, such as accessing secure areas of the website. Without these cookies, we would be unable to provide you with the services you have asked for.

Category 2: performance cookies

These cookies collect information about how you use our websites, for instance which pages all visitors go to most often, and if you get any error messages from our web sites. The cookies listed don't collect information that identifies you and all information these cookies collect is aggregated and therefore anonymous.

Category 3: functionality cookies

These cookies allow the website to remember choices you make from page to page and provide enhanced, more personal features.

Category 4: targeting cookies or advertising cookies

These cookies are used to deliver adverts more relevant to you and your interests. They are also used to limit the number of times you see an advertisement as well as help measure the effectiveness of the advertising campaign. They are placed by Iberdrola’s advertising network and they remember that you have visited our website. This information is shared with our advertisers and will be used to display Iberdrola’s advertisements on other sites that you may be interested in.

Third party: cookies added to our site by plugins we use

Iberdrola uses a number of 3rd party plugins to enhance the service we provide to you on our websites. Currently we use a Live chat functionality on some of our pages. In order for these services to work, the 3rd party has to store cookies on your device to ensure it works correctly.
